Shirley was born on October 18, 1936 in Monument, New Mexico to Edgar and Etta Marie (Richards) Chase and passed away on February 10, 2022 in Lubbock, Texas. Shirley married Nygal (Cookie) Blancet on July 2, 1955 in Roswell, New Mexico. She loved to travel and play cards. Shirley loved her family. She was a member of Jackson Ave. Baptist Church and Lea County Extension Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Bill Chase and George Chase; sisters: Vera Doughty and Margaret Montgomery; sister-in-laws: Lavetta Chase, Naomi Chase, Marilyn Chase, and Lenna Chase.
She is survived by her husband Nygal (Cookie) Blancet; three daughters: Marsha Larson (Butch), Julie Balthrop (John), and Tammy Anderson (Mike); two brothers: Mack Chase and Jim chase; one sister: Nona Brewer (Tommy); grandchildren: Bobby Standridge (Amanda), Kelli Boseman (Derek), Jason Standridge (Lesly), Dusty Anderson (Rianna) and Ty Anderson, seven great-grandchildren, three grand dogs and numerous nieces and nephews.
