Jose Tarango "Josesito" was called to be with the Lord on December 23, 2022 in Lovington NM at the age of 78, surrounded by the love and support of his family.

Jose was born on March 19, 1944 to Rey and Ramona Tarango in Guadalupe, Chihuahua, Mexico. He retired from Ferguson Construction Co. in Lovington NM where he worked for many years. He was a member of Iglesia Ministerio Vida and served as an usher for many years. He loved his wife, all his children, grand-children and great-grandchildren very much. Always praying for all of us.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rey and Ramona Tarango; a grandson; his brothers Socorro Tarango and Tele Tarango.

Jose is survived by his wife Maria Elena Tarango of 45 years of Lovington, NM; his children: Marisel Rivera of Sierra Blanca, Tx. Jose Luis Ponce of Lovington, NM Mari Gonzalez of Lovington, NM Gloria Gonzalez Ponce of Borger, Tx Maria Collins of Lovington, NM Martin Tarango of Lovington, NM and Idania Hernandez of Dallas, Tx; his brother, Pioquinto Tarango of San Elizario, Tx and his sister Ruperta Tarango of San Elizario, Tx; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild who all love him dearly.

Services for Jose Tarango will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home at 4pm. Interment of cremains are to be determined.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff chapel.
