Funeral services for Theodora Nanez Garcia, 95, of Lovington will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 1:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Theodora was born on September 15, 1928 in Loving, New Mexico to Inez and Bernabe (Sanches) Nanez and passed away on December 13, 2023. Theodora was a home maker who enjoyed taking care of the kids. She loved to sew, and cook. Theodora was a member of Santa Teresa Church Group at St. Thomas Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Inez and Bernabe Nanez; her husband Pablo Garcia; and several brothers and sisters.

She was survived by five sons: Julian Garcia, Miguel Garcia, Gabriel Garcia and wife Estella, Ace Garcia and Steven Garcia; two daughters: Rosalia and husband Andres Cruz, and Andrea and husband Adam Valenzuela; one brother: Angel Nanez; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 2:00 pm until after Rosary. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Chapel.
