Della Ruth McMillan Taylor, 93, of Plains, Texas, passed away peacefully in the home on September 23, 2024. Ruth was born on May 30, 1931, in Lynn County, Texas, to Elzo Deen and Ollie Irene Tucker McMillan. She married Robert Edward Taylor on April 16, 1950. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son-in-law Mac Lambert, and grandson Marcus Lambert. She is survived by children: Terrie and husband Walt Eads of Lubbock, Rolan and wife Debbie Taylor of Plains, Robbi Lambert of Brownfield, and Russ and wife Angie Taylor of Brownfield; sisters Margie Slentz of Denver City, Deanne Gruben of Denver City, Rheda Hinkle of Brownfield; 9 grandchildren, 19 greats and 1 great-great grandchild. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, September 30, 10:00 am, at Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Texas Boys and Girls Ranch, 4810 County Rd 2800, Lubbock, Tx 79403.
