Bryan Monroe Bailey Obituary

It is with great sadness that the children of Bryan Monroe Bailey of Lovington, NM, announce the sudden passing of their father on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Bryan was 62 years old. He was born on the early, snowy morning of January 9, 1962 to Barney Monroe Bailey and Shirley Jo Wood-Bailey of Lovington, NM. He was employed by the Lovington Municipal Schools as a Maintenance Technician at the time of his passing.

Bryan was a 1980 graduate of Lovington High School, where he played baseball. He always had the dream to pursue a professional career in baseball, but that was cut short by a ski accident that blew his knee. He later managed in the golf business in Ruidoso, NM but would become a precise craftsman, like his father, the last 24 years of his life. He was a perfectionist and paid close attention to the details when building something. It was definitely his artistic calling!

He loved being outdoors—hunting, playing golf, going to gun shows, watching his Texas Rangers play baseball, and spending his free time with his children and grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his two older brothers: Bill and Kevin Bailey.

Surviving him is his son: Sean Allen Bailey of Steamboat, Colorado and his two twin daughters: Jacqueline Laynne Bailey-Sanders and her husband Ryan Christopher Sanders of Denver City, TX, and Jennifer Lynne Bailey-Cardona and her husband Jr. Cardona of Fort Worth, Texas. Also, his older sister: Karen and her husband Jim White of Marfa, TX.

He had 5 grandchildren—Private First-Class Luke Cardona of the US Army, Cameron Tex Sanders, Brooklyn Monroe Sanders, Hazeleigh Chanel Cardona, and Kennedy Ryan Sanders. He also had numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
