Memorial services for Diana Kay Stanley, 76, of Lovington, New Mexico will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Third & Central Church of Christ with Layne Holland and David Stewart officiating. Diana was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 1, 1948 to Edward and Virginia (Federman) Smith. She passed away on February 3, 2025 in Lubbock, Texas. Diana began her career in Secondary Education and then moved to working in Business and Accounting for a period of time. She returned to education to receive her Elementary Education endorsement and taught first grade in Lovington, New Mexico at Lea Elementary for 24 years. While she had numerous hobbies throughout the years, her true passions were teaching and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Virginia Smith, both of Lovington, New Mexico.

She is survived by her husband: Frank Stanley of Lovington, New Mexico; two daughters and their spouses: Andrea and Layne Holland, of Ruidoso, New Mexico and Tamara and Kevin Jones of Midland, Texas; one brother and his spouse: Dean and Susan Smith of Lubbock, Texas; one brother-in-law, Roger Stanley of Dallas, Texas; and four grandchildren: Connor Holland, Cade Holland, Tavin Jones and Kamarin Jones. She also had several nieces and one nephew.
