Obituary of Karen Briley

Karen Briley October 29, 1958 - June 10, 2016 Memorial services for Karen (Barr) Briley, 57, of Midland, TX and formerly of Lovington, NM will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church in Hobbs, NM with Elio Barrios officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Karen was born on October 29, 1958 to Leslie Dean and Claudia Lee Barr in Hobbs, New Mexico. She grew up in Lovington and graduated from NM JC with a degree in phlebotomy and spent most of her career working as a laboratory supervisor in the medical field. She married the love of her life, Martin Briley on March 21, 1981 in Lovington and they shared 34 years of life and love together. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family making memories. Her four grandchildren meant the world to her and was her pride and joy. She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family. Karen was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. She is survived by one son, Brandon Briley of Malaga, NM; two daughters: Jessica and husband Clayton Holladay of Midland, TX; Kristin and husband Lorenzo Hernandez of Lubbock, TX; two brothers: Randy and wife Dee Barr of Mobeetie, TX; Leslie and wife Becky Barr of Lovington, NM and one sister: Dana and husband Bruce Martin of Lovington, NM and four grandchildren.
