Funeral services for Ignacio Olivas, 84, pf Midland, Texas formally of Lovington, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Jose Lucero officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Ignacio was born on January 8, 1941 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Ignacio and Ramona (Lozoya) Olivas and passed away on March 5, 2025. Ignacio enjoyed boxing. He liked doing fun runs, walking, riding his bike and going fishing. Ignacio always had snacks and drinks for everybody.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Celia Olivas; his parents: Ignacio and Ramona Olivas; three sisters and one brother.

He is survived by two sons: Jorge Olivas and wife Sonia and Ignacio Olivas Jr. and wife Danielle; four daughters: Veronica Madrid, Ramona and husband Robert Lopez, Corina and husband Margarito Mendoza, and Yesenia Salgado; four sisters: Lourdes Olivas, Elvira Olivas, and Estella Olivas; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 1:00pm until after Rosary. Rosary will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home.
