It is with our heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce that Pedro Lopez Nickles made his final transition on the morning of March 06, 2025 succumbing to acute Myeloid Leukemia at the age of 66. Pedro was born on January 31, 1959 in Carlsbad, N.M. to Alberto Sanchez Nickles and Alejandra Lopez.

Pedro truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. His generosity knew no bounds. He was not only generous in life but also in death as his chemo medication were donated to someone in need. In October of 1973 while attending Tulare Western High School in 4th period square dancing is where he met the love of his life Patsy Alvarez. They were married on April 21, 1976. Their union produced 5 children. He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his family and friends. He truly loved each one of us. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength and full of love for all of us. He is being missed dearly. Pedro's last requests were to be cremated and laid to rest with his mother. We hope to honor his last wish this coming summer.

Pedro was preceded in death by his parents: Alberto Sanchez Nickles and Alejandra Lopez Garcia; one granddaughter: Rosa Elena Trujillo; four brothers: Albino, Anatalio, Margarito (Mike) Nickles, and Alberto Sanches Nickles Jr.; three sisters: Francisca Chacon, Merced Nickles, and Lionicia Esquerra; Pedro is survived by his loving wife nearly of 50 years: Patsy Nickles; three daughters: Marcie Trujillo (Jose Antonio) Veronica Nickles Ibarra, Nicole Nickles (Dennis); three sons: Pedro Lopez Nickles Jr. (Jessica), Benito Alberto Nickles (Nerica), and Pedro Dominique Nickles (Bianca); 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; two sister: Alejandra (Becky) Garcia of Hobbs, N.M, and Anjelica (Sam) Marquez of Lovington, N.M,; one brother: Johnny Nickles of Fresno, CA.; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, and many many friends.
