Funeral services for Yolanda Martinez, 85, of Tatum, New Mexico will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church in Tatum, New Mexico with Pastor Raymond Derrick, Randy Zarate, and Pastor Manuel Munoz officiating. Burial will follow at Tatum Cemetery. Yolanda was born on September 3, 1939 in Eagle Pass, Texas and passed away on April 3, 2025. Yolanda married Perfecto Martinez on October 6, 1971 in Plains, Texas they were married 53 years. She like gardening and has a lot of beautiful flower pots around her house. She like sewing and crocheting. Yolanda loved to cook and was a real good cook. She was a loving mother and grandmother she enjoyed spending time with her husband and family especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: David Hernandez; one grandson: Isaac Randy Zarate; and one nephew: Antonio Hernandez Dominguez.

She is survived by her husband: Perfecto Martinez; five sons: David Zarate, Rene Zarate, Randy Zarate, Gavino Zarate, and Edward Martinez; two daughters: Rebecca Zarate Garcia and Teresa Zarate; numerous grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home.
