Funeral services for Sammy Martinez Rodriguez, 67, of Lovington, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Jose Lucero officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Sammy was born on October 28, 1957in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Fidel and Augustina (Martinez- Amesqua) Rodriguez and passed away on April 8, 2025 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Sammy liked working on cars and going fishing. He enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens to play pool. Sammy was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed spending time with his children and family especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Fidel and Ernestina Rodriguez; his wife Dominga Rodriguez; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by one son: Sammy Rodriguez Jr. two daughters: Janie and husband Jose Garcia and Christina and husband Yunven Martinez; four brothers and two sisters; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday April 14, 2025 from 11:00 am until after Rosary. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com.
