Alfredo Huerta Melendez passed away peacefully on May 12th 2025. Alfredo was born on July 21st, 1935 in Presidio, Texas to Lorenzo and Elena Melendez.

Alfredo is survived by his children: Maria (Jose) Dorado, Alfredo (Elodia) Melendez and David Melendez; grandchildren: Monica (Josh) Morgan, Anissa Melendez, Abby (Joe) Thomason, Deanna (Jeff) DeKeyser, Matthew Melendez, and Kristen Melendez; Six great-grandchildren: Chloe (Austin) Thomas, Alison Dixon, Cooper Keas, Ryan Thomason, Emma and Olivia DeKeyser, Jonah Morgan and one great- great-grandson Levi Thomas.

Alfredo was preceded in death by his loving wife of almost 70 years Guadlupe Melendez; his parents, several sisters and a granddaughter Crystal Marie Melendez.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Rapheal Nwosu officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 9:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
