Funeral services for Mary Rivera, 67, will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Mary was born on May 13, 1958 in Lovington to Marcelo Mojica Sr. and Mary (Peppin) Moreno and passed away on July 16, 2025 in Lubbock. Mary in her younger years enjoyed bowling. She liked going to the casino with her sister. Mary liked living at her ranch where she could be planting and gardening. She always had to have her Star Buck. Mary liked reading her Bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Marcelo Sr. and Mary Moreno; one son: Jeremy James Rangel; two brothers: David Moreno and Isaac Frank Moreno and three sisters: Susan Moreno, Rosalee Talbot, and Elizabeth Sigala.

She is survived by her husband: Jose Rivera; two daughters: Angelica Rangel and Maria Tina Rivera and husband David Ramirez; one son: Manuel Rivera Jr. and wife Candice; one brother: Marcelo Moreno Jr. and wife Jolene; one sister: Tammy Garza; Nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 3:00 pm until after Rosary. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home.
