Byron Lurid Drown Obituary

Byron L. Drown passed peacefully from this life on the morning of July 12, 2025 after a short battle with cancer.

Byron was born on August 13, 1938 about 10 miles south of Twin Falls, Idaho and grew up in Idaho with his parents, George and Virginia, and 9 siblings.

Byron married the love of his life, Gearldean, on March 5, 1960. Byron lived life to the fullest and, with Gearldean, built a strong family, a thriving business and raised 7 children.

Byron had several passions in life, his Gearldean being number 1. He loved his family and friends, his horses and mules, his business and wild land. Byron's love for Gearldean and his family was apparent to anyone who spoke to him.

Byron is survived by his wife: Gearldean; his son: Curtis Boyd (Rosita); his son: Michael Drown (Kate) and his siblings: Judy, Myla, Delton and Lynn. Byron had many grandkids, great grandkids, great-great grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and out-laws. He formed significant and lasting friendships over many years through Watson's Unit Shop, A & M Machine Works, the Okie-Arkie trail riding group and many local businesses.

A memorial service for Byron will be held at the Cowboy Junction Church on August 1, 2025 at 10:00 am.
