It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charlot Elizabeth Carr, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, who left this world on December 24, 2025. Born on March 2, 1972, in Hobbs, New Mexico, Charlot was a radiant spirit whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone around her. She lived a fulfilling life, filled with joy, laughter, and a deep love for her family and friends.
Charlot was the cherished daughter of Elmer Witcher and Marynell Glasspoole. She was preceded in death by her father: Elmer Witcher; and is survived by her loving husband: Daniel Clifton Carr, whom she married on October 20, 2005, at New Beginnings Church in Lovington, New Mexico, officiated by Tim Brown. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, support, and shared adventures.
Charlot was a devoted mother to her three children: Gabriel Joseph Rodriguez, Bryan Stroud, and Stevie Barrow. She took great pride in her family, nurturing their dreams and celebrating their accomplishments. Her son-in-law: Jon Carlos Barrow also held a special place in her heart. As a grandmother, Charlot found immense joy in her three grandchildren: Lucaino Trevino, Maxx O'Brian Sanchez, and Jon Carlos Barrow II. She adored spending her time with them, creating memories that they will cherish forever.
Charlot was a strong and supportive sister, leaving behind her siblings: Cheryl Witcher, Calvin Witcher, Alvin Witcher, and Sarah Elizabeth Glasspoole. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit and love within them, and she will be missed dearly by her entire family.
For fifteen years, Charlot served as an associate at Walmart where she was known for her diligence, friendliness, and willingness to lend a helping hand to customers and colleagues alike. Her work ethic was admirable and she always approached her responsibilities with a smile.
Outside of her professional life, Charlot was an adventurous soul who loved to explore the beauty of the outdoors. She found joy in hiking, fishing, and gardening, often spending her weekends immersed in nature. The Fourth of July was a cherished holiday for her, where she enjoyed celebrating with family and friends, lighting up the sky with fireworks and laughter. Charlot had a zest for life that was infectious; she loved anything that kept her moving and outside, reveling in the simple pleasures the world had to offer.
Charlot Elizabeth Carr leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and a profound appreciation for the beauty of life. Her nurturing spirit, boundless energy, and passionate embrace of life will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we gather to celebrate her life, we remember the laughter, warmth, and love she brought into our lives.
She will be forever in our hearts, resting now in peace in Lubbock, Texas. In her memory, we invite all who knew her to honor her spirit by living life to the fullest, cherishing family, and embracing every moment.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Jackson Ave. Baptist Church in Lovington, New Mexico with Dave Rowser officiating.
