Funeral services for Jesse R. Munoz, 81, of Hobbs will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Reimers officiating. Jesse was born on February 23, 1945 in Lamesa, Texas to Theodore and Juanita (Ramirez) Munoz and passed away on April 9, 2026. Jesse married Frances Rodriguez on July 14, 1965 in Plains, Texas they share 60 years together. He went to school in Lamesa and Lovington. Jesse joined the Military and that was his passion. He liked going fishing and deer hunting. Jesse liked hanging out with family and loved his grandchildren. He was a "son" gained not a son-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Theodore and Juanita Munoz; and two sons-in-law: John Hargy and Eddie Rodriguez.

He is survived by his wife: Frances Munoz; one son: Jesse Munoz Jr. four daughters: Patricia Hargy, Sandra Franco, Linda Rodriguez, and Jessica Alvarado and husband Will; four brothers: Roy Munoz, Ted Munoz, Isreal Munoz and Saul Munoz; one sister: Mary Navarrette; eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Kirby-Ratlif Funeral Home.
