Obituary of Claudia Lee Barr

Claudia Lee Barr September 17, 1935 - May 11, 2016 Funeral services for Claudia Lee Barr, 80, of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 1:00 pm at First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Daniel O’Doherty officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Barr was born on September 17, 1935 to Rudolph Clayton Houston and Ola Lorena Blankenship in Gladiola, NM and passed away on May 11, 2016 Lubbock, TX. She married Leslie Barr in Tatum, NM on January 9, 1952 and they have shared sixty four years of life together. Claudia loved to sing, dance, go fishing, and enjoyed football. She loved to sew and quilt blankets. She liked to do family trees and geneology. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Nola Leach and Trela Cannon and one brother Wayne Houston. Claudia is survived by his two sons: Randy and wife Dee Barr of Mobeetie, TX and Leslie and wife Becky Barr of Lovington; two daughters: Karen Briley of Midland, TX and Dana and husband Bruce Martin of Lovington; one Sister: Patsy and husband Peg Fulton of Okotaha, OK.; two brothers: Clinton and wife Beverta Houston of Tatum, NM and Ruben and wife Belva Houston of Ft. Stockton, TX.; thirteen Grandchildren ; 23 Great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, May 13, 2016 from noon until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
