Obituary of Iris Victorine Ragland

Memorial services for Iris Victorine "Vicki" Ragland, 55, of Dexter, NM and formerly of Lovington, NM, will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church in Lovington with Bro. Jason Perry officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Vicki was born in Dennison, TX on February 21, 1963 to Donald Sr. and Nettie (Kissinger) Putman and passed away at her home in Dexter on November 9, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. After graduating she received her BSN in nursing from NMJC and was employed as a school nurse. She enjoyed traveling, camping, scrapbooking and rearranging furniture. One of her favorite things was getting a Sonic Route 44 diet coke and enjoying the grandkids. Vicki had a passion for helping others and helping make good memories for them. She was the epitome of a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved the Lord and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Roswell. Bible studies and just being a servant of God were important to her as a Christian. She married James Ragland on May 15, 2010 in Lovington and they joined their two families and became one. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Preceding her in death were her parents: Don and Weezie Putman. Surviving her is her husband: James Ragland of Dexter; two sons: Matthew and wife Amanda Vela and Jeremy and wife Katie Ragland; two daughters: Tori and husband Scott Lunsford and Crysta and husband Reed Gunnter; nine grandchildren and a host of friends.
