Obituary of Charles Eugene Brehm

Charles Eugene Brehm February 23, 1933 - June 09, 2017 Funeral services for Charles Eugene Brehm, 84, of Lovington, NM will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel with Leroy Brehm officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Brehm was born on February 23, 1933 in San Antonio, TX to Harry and Eileen (Feller) Brehm and passed away on June 9, 2017 in Lubbock, TX. He married Anna Beal in Lovington on October 2, 1991. Charlie owned and operated a welding service while living in San Antonio and later when he came to Lovington he bought Man Welding and later Clyde’s Pumping and Backhoe Service and a few other business excursions. It could be said he was definitely an entrepreneur. He was a successful business man in whatever endeavors he chose. Charlie was a member of the Masonic Lodge and became a lifetime member in the “60’s”. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Harry Edwin Brehm and Melvin Owen Brehm. Surviving him is his wife, Anna, of the home; one son: Brad and wife Lynnette Tate of Lovington, NM and one daughter: Sheila and husband Lynard Barrera of Buenos Aires, Argentina; one brother: Leroy William and wife Kitty Brehm of Comfort, TX; one sister: Judy Ann slaughter of San Antonio, TX; three grandchildren: Jacob Tate of Lubbock, TX, Misty and husband Colter Smith of Lovington, Dallas Barrera of Buenos Aires, Argentina; three great-grandchildren: Serenity, Landen and London of Lovington and numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm with family in residence at the funeral home.
