A service Celebrating Michael Taylor's life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 10:30 am at the Tex-Mex Company building at 2604 West County Road. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Michael was born on June 28, 1960 in Hobbs, NM to Alvin "Dow" and Juanita (Shelton) Taylor and passed away on April 20, 2019 in Hobbs. He worked his entire life as a Diesel Mechanic and was known for having a passion for building and tearing apart motors at a young age. He worked many years with Craig Electric, Watson Truck and Supply and Wagner. He enjoyed working on tractors, generators and his favorite mini bikes that he really liked riding. He loved visiting with family especially his brothers and was always laughing and having a good time with his friends and family. Michael was the type of person that never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Michael Taylor; one brother: Leslie Taylor and one nephew: Dalton Counts. Surviving him is one daughter: Kelsey and husband Darren Suter of Tatum, NM; one son: Dustin of Tatum, NM; five brothers: Wesley and wife Jeannie of Hobbs, NM; Danny and wife Yvone of Cartwight, OK; Jamie Taylor of Hobbs, NM; Nathan and wife Shannon of Hobbs, NM and John and wife Terri of Hobbs, NM; special friends: Tina Lovelady, Lou Ann Byrum and daughter Kelsey Myers; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for their service and care for Michael.
