Man what a man God called home.
A very respectable cowboy with the old cowboy quality.
Always a greeting and never had a complaint.
Always would tell you he is doing good, even when you could tell he wasn't feeling well.
You will be missed Max. The world wont be the same without you.
You have gone to be with the best of the best!
Will meet again when my time comes.
My condolences to all the family.

Max was one of the Greatest Men I have ever known. Every time I asked Max to announce the horse show for Fair he was Johnny on the spot. Always so happy to announce and hang out with the kiddos. Our family loves you Max!

Max and Gina attended the same church I attended for years. I remember Max giving the word a lot for our congregation. Such a Godly man. A man of great humility and integrity.
Also missed him when he quit doing the announcing at the parades. He knew just what to say as the people rode by on floats and horses.

We almost shared a birthday! I was born exactly three weeks and three days after Max.
I have so many great memories of our time in Lovington...we had some really good times..the Forts and Smiths. Friendships like that don't come around very often. We had some really fun Halloweens..Christmas'...cookouts..working with the youth at church. You always knew just exactly where he stood..a really good ol' guy and good friend.
I know he'll be missed by many..especially his loving family.
Rest in peace Max!

My condolences to the Fort family on the loss of Max. He was a great guy and a positive influence in my life. Max and I had a lot of time to talk while reading meters for Lea County Electric. He will never know the impact he had on my life during those long drives.
