Memorial services for Roy Alvin Fuller, 67, of Hobbs, NM will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel. Mr. Fuller was born on May 25, 1951 in Clovis, NM to Roy Richard and Betty Lou (Burns) Fuller and passed away on May 11, 2019 in Lubbock, TX. He served in the US Navy for a few years and his last duty assignment was on the USS Ogden. Roy had lived in Lea County for many years and was employed in construction. He was talented as a handyman and was a good mechanic also. He enjoyed helping people and was a big help to those in his neighborhood. He was an outgoing type of person who liked fishing, camping and hunting and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. His passion was being with his kids and grandkids as he was quite a family man. Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister: Lou Ann Bryant. Surviving him is his wife of many years, Linda (Placensio) Fuller of the home; five sons: Ricky Jr and wife Heather Abeyta of Hobbs; Mickey Abeyta of Hobbs; Nick and wife Donna Abeyta of El Paso, TX; Chris Placensio of Hobbs and Roy Fuller Jr. of Seattle, WA; two daughters: Matilda and husband Juan Gonzales of Hobbs and Michelle Fuller of California; one brother: Bobby and wife Reba Bryant of Lovington, NM and two sisters: Lilly and husband Ralph Bishop of Lovington and Karen and husband Daniel Lade of Sauk City, MN; also numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
