Judie was born in Carlsbad, NM on September 15, 1945 to Earl Gomer and Judy Davis and passed away on May 26, 2019 in Hobbs, NM. She was called "Sissy" by family and friends. Her family moved around quite a bit while she was young, so Judie attended school in Andrews, TX and then her family settled in Hobbs where she attended Hobbs High School. She met and fell in love with Elvin "Sonny" Allen and they married on May 5, 1966 and shared forty six years together, until his passing in 2012. Judie and Elvin loved to vacation in Junction, TX where they had great friends and enjoyed floating in the river during the day and washer pitching at night. Judie was the champion one year. She and Elvin enjoyed going to watch the Hobbs Eagles basketball games and loved watching their kids and grandkids do a variety of sports and dance. She had a career as a dental Assistant and worked for several dentists in Hobbs. After moving to Jal in 1978, she worked for Clark Oil Service. She liked country dancing, was a very independent lady who mowed her lawn always and loved to grow vegetables. She was fun, happy person who loved watching her grandkids and great-grandkids play in her beautiful back yard. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Elvin Lee Allen. Surviving her are two daughters: Kelli Allen of Albuquerque, NM and Sonnie and husband Dr. Patrick Homer of Lovington, NM; two brothers: Butch and wife Joann DeMoss of Utah and Jimmy DeMoss of Abilene, TX; five grandchildren: Lexi Allen, Jaycie Chesser, Morgan Homer, Drew Homer and Maddie Homer and three great-grandchildren: Payton Hernandez, Phoenix Chesser and Rory Clark and a host of friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
