Obituary of Jesus Estrada

Funeral services for Jesus Estrada, 83, of Hobbs, NM will be held on August 14, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Jesus Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Jesus was born on December 23, 1935 in Presidio, TX. to Jose and Trinidad (Ornelas) Estrada and passed away on August 10, 2019 at his residence. Jesus liked to Travel, and enjoyed fishing. He liked to have family get togethers. He liked watching baseball and his favorite team was the Dodgers. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Antonia Estrada; and one sister: Magdalena Granado. He is survived by his wife Maria Estrada of Hobbs, NM; one son: Manuel and Corina Estrada of New Braunfels, TX.: two daughters: Dora and Hector Juarez of Hobbs, NM and Patty Estrada and Johnny Aranda of Hobbs, NM; two brothers: Tony Estrada of Lovington, NM and Ramon and wife Isabel Estrada of Lovington, NM; seven sisters: Elida and Raul Dominguez of Lovington, NM, Juanita Saenz of Lovington, NM, Maria Saldana of Hobbs, NM, Cruz and Albert Robles of Lovington, NM, Enedina and Moises Hernandez of Lovington, NM, Chay Dominguez of Lovington, NM, Josefina and Aureliano Aranda of Odessa, TX. and Delma and Salvador Garcia of Denver City, TX.; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 11:00 am. Rosary will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 7:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Following the burial a reception will be held at the Knights of Colombus in Lovington, NM.
