Obituary of Terry Wayne Dieringer

Memorial services for Terry Wayne Dieringer, 68, of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11:00 am at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dave Rowser officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Terry was born on January 1, 1951 in Pampa, TX to Oscar William and Nina Pearl (Quillen) Dieringer and passed away on August 14, 2019 in Odessa, TX. He grew up in Shamrock, TX and attended school there, completing the ninth grade. He eventually moved to New Mexico, where he made his home with his mother, Nina, before she passed away. He enjoyed working, and made a career in grocery stores as a stocker and bagger. Terry loved his church and the fellowship and social interaction it brought him. He was a lifelong passionate Dallas Cowboys fan and a fan of professional wrestling. He also loved all forms of country music, especially Kenny Chesney and was an avid collector of ceramic cats. He had a great joy of life, laughed often and had a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed by his family and his friends. Preceding him in death was his father: Oscar Dieringer, his Mother: Nina Locknane and his step-father: Robert Locknane. Surviving him is his Stepmother: Mae Dieringer of Schulenburg, TX; two brothers: Ron and wife Gilda Dieringer of San Antonio, TX and Gary and wife Victoria Dieringer of Aurora, CO; one sister: Denise and husband Troy Briggs of Ruidoso, NM; Aunt: Jody Bodle of Clovis, NM; four uncles: C.H. Switzer of Clovis, NM, Ted Quillen, of Pampa, TX, Elroy Dieringer of Schulenburg, TX and Clarence Dieringer of Houston, TX. Also three nieces: Shanna Briggs, Mia Dieringer and Erin Jacquez and six nephews: Scott Dieringer, Nathan Dieringer, Rowan Dieringer , Ethan Dieringer, Ron Lozano and Roy Lozano Jr. and five cousins: Debbie Nippert, Karla Gibson, Rick Switzer, Kim Jones and Kay Erdmann.
