Obituary of Kenneth Lynn Cunningham

Kenneth Lynn Cunningham April 17, 1947 - December 31, 2012 Funeral services for Kenneth Lynn Cunningham, 65, of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at First Christian Church at 10:00 am with Mike Crow, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 pm NM time at Morton Cemetery in Morton, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Kenneth was born on April 17, 1947 in Levelland, TX to Orville and Robbie (Hooper) Cunningham and passed away at his residence on Monday, December 31, 2012. He married Jamie Henderson on June 24, 1966 in Three Way, Texas. Kenneth grew up with a love of farming and enjoyed doing that for several years. He also worked for A & A Feed in Lovington as a truck driver for 14 years. He was the peacemaker for his seven brothers and sisters and had a very good sense of humor. He was a man of few words but was a very discerning man and a man who loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Stanley and Lonnie Cunningham. He is survived by his wife, Jamie of the home; two sons: James Cunningham and companion, Samantha Barrio of Las Cruces, NM and Kent and wife Virginia Cunningham of Lovington, NM; one brother: Pat and wife Debbie Cunningham of Decatur, TX; four sisters: Sandra and husband Murvin Gathright of Corsicana, TX; Janice and husband Larry Splitter of Garland, TX; Gloria and husband Bill Graves of Brownfield, TX and Linda Cunningham of Lovington, NM. Also surviving him are five grandchildren: Athena Reda, Anissa Cunningham, Jared Wilks, Makayla Pruitt and Dylan Cummings and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 3rd from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm and Friday, January 4, 2013 from 8:30 am until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
