Obituary of Sharian Faye Henderson

Funeral services for Sharian Faye Henderson, 73, of Lovington, NM will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church with Bro. Harry Pittam and Bro. Matt Thackerson officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Sharian was born on October 9, 1946 in Lubbock, TX to Elton and Dorothy Faye (Larance) Dixon and passed away on October 15, 2019. Sharian became a loving wife to Johnny Henderson on July 11, 1977 at the Pioneer Steak House in Lovington, NM. She grew up at Praireview and attended school at Lovington High School, graduating in 1964. Sharian became a mother at the age of 20 and a grandmother at 39 and she was the oldest of six brothers and sisters. She wasn't just a sister, she was like a mother and their best friend. She enjoyed working The Walk to Emmaus, going on cruises and spending time with her family, friends, and sisters. She loved to sew, cook, and bake. She also loved canning green beans and black eyed peas. Sharian liked to fish and do puzzles with her daughter and granddaughters and reading her books. She was famous for her T-Rings and baking for all her family. Still, until this day no one can make a T-Ring like she could. She loved to volunteer at the cancer center and enjoyed going to church on Sunday's. She loved her two dogs Gina and Sadie. She loved everybody she met and never met a stranger. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Elton and Dorothy Dixon; one brother: Elton Wayne Dixon and one granddaughter: Janice Rose.

Surviving her is her husband Johnny Henderson; one son: Jim Rose and wife Veronica of Lovington; one daughter: Dee Dee and husband Bennie Bohannon of Lovington; one brother: Mike Dixon of NM; four sisters: Carolyn Nowotny and husband Ken of TX, Marilyn Patterson and husband Curtis of Lovington, Glenda Roberts of Lovington, and Shirley and husband George Bower of Lovington; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
