Obituary of Rosemarie Vanzant

Funeral services for Rosemarie Vanzant, 58, of Lovington, NM will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 10:00 am at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel with Bobby Joe Vanzant officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Rosemarie was born on November 14, 1960 in Hobbs, NM to John M. and Francis (Tidwell) Williams and passed away on October 21, 2019. Rosemarie grew up and attended school in Hobbs. She liked going camping, and she loved fishing at the "River". She enjoyed taking trips and was a very creative person. She wrote poetry, enjoyed reading, drawing, music and dancing and liked gardening. She was definitely a people person as she loved everyone, especially her grandchildren. She was a unique lady as she saw good in everything and everyone and was very caring. She raised her family to have softness and joy in their life and to be themselves. She loved her family very much. She was preceded in death by her parents: John M. and Francis Williams and one grandson: Braydon Marcos Vanzant. She is survived by her sons: Jon Mark Travland and wife Teresa of Odessa TX, and Bobby Joe Vanzant and wife Kayla of Andrews, TX; two daughters: Becky Criswell and husband David of Lovington, NM and Nikki Alexander and husband Trevor of Lubbock, TX.; one brother: Michael Williams and wife Jamie of Hobbs, NM; two sisters: Terri Schwarting of San Antonio, TX and Jennifer Kidd of Brownfield, TX and thirteen grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
