Obituary of Roy Lee Millsap

Roy Lee Millsap, 82, was born to Louis and Ollie Millsap on December 10, 1936 in Hagerman, NM. Roy was reunited with his wife Joyce, who loved him dearly on November 11, 2019. They had three daughters, Melinda, Melonie and Mylonne. He spent his life watching out for his girls and making sure they were alright when life happened. Roy wore many different hats in his life. He was always honest and good and worked harder than anyone knew. He meant what he said and he did it. The ones who knew him longest was his sister: Betty and husband Bill Schwartz of Roswell, NM; two brothers, Weldon Millsap of Lovington, NM and Eddie and wife Marie Millsap of Española, NM. He was welcomed home by his sisters: Billie Massey, Thelma Chipman and brother, Louis (Junior) Millsap. The love he had for the life he lived is continued with those who will miss him the most; his daughters and ten grandchildren: Jason, Roy, Concheta, Lisa, Nicole, William, Stephanie, Jack, Dillon and Dusty. Also sixteen great-grandchildren: Diana, Aiden, Lily, Maggie, Penny, Max, Ryan, Tristan, Haley, Brodie, Braxton, Jaxon, Grace, Ava, Emma and Sarah. Friends and family are welcome to come to visitation on at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home in Lovington, NM, 321 West Washington Ave from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm NM time (10 am until 1:30pm TX Time.) Graveside services will be held in Plains, TX at Plains Cemetery at 3:00 pm Texas time (2:00 pm NM time) on Wednesday afternoon the 13th.
