Funeral services for Diana Ponce, 79, wife of Juan Ponce of Lovington, NM will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Ringo Perea officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangemens are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Diana was born on January 7, 1941 in Falfurrias, TX. to Aneseto and Maria (Sendejo) Garza and passed away on February 7, 2020 at her residence. She was raised in Kingsville, TX. She married Juan Sanchez Ponce on October 5, 1957 in Artesia, NM and they shared their lives for 62 years. Diana liked bingo and her favorite soap opera was "The Young and the Restless." She was a Dallas Cowboy and San Antonio Spurs fan. She was preceded in death by her son: Jose Luis Ponce one sister: Idolina Salinas; one brother: Luis Martinez and her mother, Maria Refugia Sendejo. She is survived by her husband, Juan Sanchez Ponce; three daughters: Rosario and husband Alfredo Corral, Becky and husband David Valdez, and Rachel Ruiz and partner Julian Gonzales; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 11:00 am until Rosary at 6:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel.
