Obituary of Robert Sheldon Day

Robert Sheldon Day October 23, 1956 - November 11, 2009 Memorial services for Robert Sheldon Day, 53, of Tatum, will be held at the Lea County Electric Community Center in Tatum, at 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 15, 2009. Mr. Day was born on October 23, 1956 in Tularosa, NM to Robert Eugene & Myrtle Stacie(Lingle) Day and passed away on November 11, 2009 in Lovington, NM. Cremation has taken place with burial at a later date. Services are being conducted by Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Robert was raised in Tatum and enjoyed the simple things in life. He was very good at helping his kids with their vehicles or whatever else they needed. He enjoyed prospecting, being home and he had a great love for the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He has been employed by Mann Welding for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Bryanna Brijalba. He is survived by his two sons, Justin Day of Milnesand, NM and Russton Day of Tatum, NM and one daughter, Mandy Brijalba of Tatum, NM; one sister, Alice Bailey Jones of Loveland, Colorado and his special companion, Sherry Day and three grandchildren, Julieanna, Jaden, and Gabriel Brijalba.
