Gayle Ann Ragsdale, 67, of Lovington, NM was born on February 13, 1953, to Rayford "Jack" Beasley and Violette D. (Treadwell) Beasley in Monahans, TX and passed away on May 3, 2020 in Lubbock, TX. Cremation has taken place and memorial service will be at a later date. Gayle attended school in Lovington and was a member of the 1971 graduating class. She was a member of the All State Choir for two years at LHS and enjoyed music and liked using her lovely singing voice. Gayle was a people person and had a heart for older people. She would go and visit with them and see if they needed anything. Her grandchildren were a great joy to her and when they stayed with her on weekends she would fix her famous homemade (not really homemade) chicken noodle soup for them and take them to the movies. At Christmas they always watched the Christmas Story with her. Gayle was employed by Joe Andrews pharmacy and then later for Michael;s for over forty years combined. She always had a smile and a good word each time you went in to the pharmacy. She was baptized at an early age at First Baptist Church and in later years made First Christian Church her home church. She loved her dogs, "Katie and Violette Marie, a poodle and a yorkie and she enjoyed spoiling them. Gayle was teased a lot by her brothers growing up, especially when she tried to play ball with them, they told her she couldn't throw it far enough. She loved her family very much and was a good friend to many. She loved her coffee, going out to eat and was most particular about how she looked. She was very meticulous about her hair and makeup, it had to be perfect before she would go anywhere. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents and her stepmom: Margaret McMillan Beasley. Surviving her is one daughter: Dawna and husband Jody Walters of Lovington; three brothers: Darrell and wife Marlene Beasley of Albuquerque, Byron and wife Brenda Beasley of Midland and Joe and wife Michelle Dupuy of Edmond, OK; two grandchildren: Lundy and husband Matt Puryear and Troy Walters both of Lovington, NM.
