Obituary of Juan C. DeAnda

Watch the Tribute Juan C. DeAnda May 15, 1923 - July 16, 2014 Funeral services for Juan C. DeAnda, 91, of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at St. Thomas Catholic Church at 2:00 pm with Father Redentor Molina officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. DeAnda was born on May 15, 1923 in Namiquipa, Chihuahua, Mexico to Tomas and Dolores (Corral) DeAnda and passed away on July 16, 2014 in Lovington. He came to the United States in 1976 and to Lovington in the early 80’s and raised his seven children as a single father. He was employed in road construction before his retirement. He enjoyed being with his family and liked going to the Senior Citizen Center to eat and visit. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Teresa Enriquez DeAnda; two sons: Baltazar and Arnold DeAnda; three brothers: Luis and Raul DeAnda and Jose Cerceres; three sisters: Elvira Cerceres, Evangelina DeAnda and Luz Elena DeAnda. He is survived by three sons: Rogelio and wife Yolanda DeAnda; Agustin and wife Margarita DeAnda, and Juan Manuel and wife Dolores DeAnda, all of Odessa, TX; two daughters: Socorro and husband Armando Brito and Ofelia and husband Ismael Rivero , both of Lovington; one brother: Julian DeAnda of Cuahtemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico; also twenty grandchildren and twenty seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 10:00 am until rosary time at 7:00 pm, which will be held at the funeral home chapel
