Rhonda Hamlett, 67, of Leesville, Louisiana and formerly of Lovington, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Monday, August 17, 2020 at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home with Pastor David Stewart, officiating. Interment will be 2:30 pm in Portales Cemetery, Portales, NM. Visitation will be Sunday 1:00-6:00 pm at the funeral home.
She was born on July 7, 1953 in Hobbs, NM to Bernard and Alberta Hamlett. Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronald Wayne Hamlett. Survivors include her brother, Greg Hamlett and wife, Lynda of Leesville, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rhonda grew up in Lovington, attended nursing school at NMJC and after graduation worked as an RN for 45 years at the hospital in Lovington. She was a kind person and always helping someone. Rhonda will be remembered as a very caring and generous person.
