Graveside services for John "Johnny" Reiss Casselberry, 70, of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Lovington Cemetery at 2:00 pm with Bro. Dave Rowser officiating. Johnny was born on June 21, 1950 in San Angelo, Texas to Odom Ray and Katie Alice (Castle) Casselberry and passed away in Hobbs, NM on September 12, 2020. Johnny grew up in Lovington and attended school here and also NMJC in Hobbs. He was self-employed for many years and was a car fanatic as he liked rebuilding cars and going to the car shows. He traveled to several car shows in Oklahoma and enjoyed teaching others about cars. He was also employed by Watson Truck & Supply as counter man and in parts delivery. He loved music and was an Elvis fan. Johnny attended Jackson Ave Baptist Church with his mom in early years and was a Christian. He really enjoyed getting together with "the guys" and going to the sandhills, cooking out and having fun at the dunes. He loved his pickup and named it "White Dog". Being with his friends was one of his favorite things pastimes and sharing his sense of humor. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother: Bobby Casselberry. Surviving him is his companion and friend, Connie Kerby and his special caregiver, Gail Hinson; some extended family and a host of friends. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com.
