Obituary of Veronica Gutierrez

Funeral services for Veronica Gutierrez, 29, of Lovington, NM will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 10:00 am at First United Methodist Church with Matt Bridges, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Veronica was born on November 24, 1991 in Hobbs, NM to Jesus David Gutierrez and Olivia Ramirez and passed away in Las Cruces, NM on December 10, 2020. She graduated from Lovington with the class of 2010. She was a part- time substitute teacher for Special Needs kids for one year at Taylor Middle School and also was employed with KFC for four years. She was technology- minded and enjoyed sharing that knowledge with her family. She loved spending time with her family and companion, Lorenzo Leyba, playing video games and watching TikTok videos and she liked to facetime with her dog"Bella". Preceding her in death were her grandparents: Rogelio and Maria Ramirez. Surviving her is her Mother: Olivia Ramirez of Lovington; her father and step-mother: Jesus Sr. and Jane Gutierrez of Lovington; two brothers: Jesus David "Cacho" Gutierrez of Odessa, TX and Raul Gutierrez and fiancée Jessica Dennett of Lovington; one sister: Victoria and husband Marc Corral of Lovington; two grandmothers: Alicia Escarcega of Casa Grande, Mexico and Alice Dominguez of Lovington, also a stepbrother: Willie and Erlinda Sierra of Bayard, NM and five nieces and nephews: Riddick, Angelina, Iana, Savannah and Kaileena and many friends.
