Graveside services for Raul Garcia, 84, of Lovington, NM will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 10:00 am at Resthaven Cemetery on the the Tatum Hwy with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Raul was born on June 27, 1936 in El Mulato, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jose and Juliana (Bustamante) Garcia and passed away on December 28, 2020 in Lubbock, TX. He became a naturalized citizen of the United States on August 15, 1996. He was married to Zenaida Montoya Garcia for many years. Preceding him in death were his parents, and two sisters: Antonia Acosta and Lidia Caballero. Surviving him are four sons: alfredo (Eva) Garcia of Monahans, TX, Raul Garcia (Enoe) of Monahans, Pilar Garcia of Midland, TX, Oscar Garcia of Lovington, NM; four daughters: Martha Garcia, Maria Garcia, Maria Reyes ( Rafael of Lovington and Julie Perez (Tino) of Lovington; two sisters: Rosa Payan of Odessa, TX and Ofelia Cantu of Nevada; nineteen grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be held at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home, 1106 North Main, on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 2:00 ~ 7:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com.
