Obituary of Juan C. Gonzalez

Funeral services for Juan C. Gonzalez, 84, of Lovington will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Juan was born on November 24, 1936 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Francisco and Lucia (Carrasco) Gonzalez and passed away on January 18, 2021 in Las Cruces. Juan worked for the Boyd Bros. in Lovington for many years. He was also a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents: Francisco and Lucia Gonzalez; his wife Paula Gonzalez; one son: Juan Ramon Gonzalez; one daughter: Emma Gonzalez; five sisters: Luz Salazar, Maria de Jesus Gonzalez, Manuela Gonzalez, Rosario Gonzalez, and Monica Hernandez; one brother Alejo Gonzalez. Surviving him is two sons: Juan Daniel Gonzalez and wife Maria of Lovington and Ruben Gonzalez and wife Mari of Lovington; four daughters: Rosalinda Trevizo of El Paso, TX; Hilda and husband Daniel Marquez of Lovington, Mari Gonzalez-Proctor and husband,Deron Proctor of Midland, and Irene and husband Marcos of Lovington; one brother: Leon Gonzalez; three sisters: Margarita Chavez, Tela Urias and Teresa Gonzalez; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 1:00 pm until seven with a Rosary at 6:30 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to wwwkirbysmithrogers.com.
