Obituary of Miguel Orona Carrasco

Our Beloved Miguel O. Carrasco went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2020. He was born in Vado de Piedra, Ojinaga, Chihuahua on May 8, 1941 to Agapito Carrasco and Emiteria Orona. He is survived by one sister: Anastacia Ponce of Lovington; one brother: Ignacio Carrasco of Odessa, TX; he is the father of nine children; Lorena Casarez of Amarillo, Chella Carrasco of Lovington, Miguel Carrasco Jr. of Hobbs, Amy Vazquez of Lovington, Arturo Carrasco of Lovington, Meno Carrasco of Lovington, Jesus Carrasco of Lovington, Pilar Carrasco of Roswell and Albert of Hurst, TX. Grandpa Mike (as he liked to be called) was a grandfather to twenty-seven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren; four daughter-in-laws and two son-in-laws. He immigrated with his family to Lovington, NM in 1973 where he worked in the local oil field. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church where he was a regular attendant and was a cursillista. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and spend time with him and loved him. He was preceded in death his parents, six sisters: one brother: and one grandson: Marco Antonio Vazquez. Those left to cherish his memories are his children, grandchildren, his brother, sister and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church, burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery.
