Obituary of Alberto Ontiveros

Funeral services for Alberto Ontiveros, 94, of Lovington will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Alberto was born of January 16, 1927 in Adobe, TX. to Petronila Ontiveros and died on February 26, 2021 at his residence. Alberto was raised in Presidio, TX. He liked to work and was a hard worker and was always working. There was nothing he could not tear apart and put back together. Alberto liked to garden and was a handy man. He was a man of all trades. He retired from Ferguson Construction after working there 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers: Valentine, Manuel, Francisco, Jose and Jesus; one sister: Anita and one great-granddaughter: Nayeli Gutierrez. He is survived by his wife Natalia Ontiveros of Lovington; five sons: Rosendo and Graciela of Olathe, KS, Alberto and Carmen of Lovington, Freddy and Dolly of Artesia, Elias and Priscilla of Valdez, NM, and Jessie and Susie of Albuquerque; one daughter: Carmen and husband Eli; twelve grand-children, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 from 3:00 pm until after Rosary. Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Chapel. Condolences may be sent to wwwkirbysmithrogers.com.
