Obituary of Trinidad Alvarado

Funeral services for Trinidad "Trini" Alvarado, 65, of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 2:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home chapel. Rosary will be Thursday, April 22, at 7:30 pm at St Thomas. Trini was born in Loraine, TX on October 30, 1955 to Apolonio and Regina (Perez) Vega and passed away at her home on April 20, 2021. She moved here in 1963 from Sweetwater, TX and made her home. She married Hector Alvarado in Lovington on December 28, 1980 and they have shared forty one years together. Trini had a very compassionate nature and she would take care of others any time she could. She was fun and enjoyed dancing a lot and could make you laugh. She was a Christian and served the Lord daily by her actions. She was responsible for starting the project of feeding others on Thanksgiving at their restaurant for free and always had a café full of people, with whom she could share a blessed meal. She had worked hard all of her life and owned and operated "Mi Casa" for nine years before selling and retiring. Her passion was her family and she loved them all very much. She will be greatly missed. Preceding her in death was her father and one brother: Ruben Vega. Surviving her is her husband Hector of the home, two sons: Jesse Maldonado of Midland, TX and Jerry (Kristen) Gonzalez of Lovington; two daughters: Yesenia (Robert) Martinez of Austin, TX and Nereyda Brewer of Lovington; two brothers: Librado Vega Sr. of Lovington and Apolonio "Paul" Jr. and wife Olga Vega of Lovington and one sister: Rachel (Donnie) Trevino of Lovington. Also 10 grandchildren: Robert, Rebecca, Caleb, Garrett, Joe, Calvin, Nevaeha, Bastian, Bryson and Tristan and one great-grandchild: Avery Rose and a host of friends.
