Obituary of Elda Esmelda Saenz

Graveside services for Elda Esmelda Saenz, 59, of Hobbs, NM and formerly of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 10:00 am at Lovington Cemetery. Elda was born on October 4, 1961 in McAllen, TX to Saturnino and Angelita (Champion) Saenz and passed away on June 24, 2021 in Hobbs, NM. She has lived in Lea County for forty years. She enjoyed drawing and collection shoestrings, ads and coupons, especially Coca Cola ones or sodas. She was a big time "coffee & tea " drinker with lots of sugar. Elda was a serene person and loved dancing and singing and would make up her own words to Mexican music that she liked and the others couldn't understand. She was a happy person and her family called her their angel. She was very loved by all her family and all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Preceding her in death were her parents. Surviving her is her Mother: Mary Saenz Rodriguez; three brothers: Paul Rodriguez of Buffalo, Wyoming ; Pete and wife Florence Rodriguez of Hobbs, NM and Adolfo and wife Amanda Rodriguez of Hobbs, NM; three sisters: Laura Rodriguez of Hobbs, Nora and husband David Robles of Lovington, NM and Rosemary and husband Frank Bonilla of Odessa, TX.
