Obituary of Cerinia S. Salmon

Funeral services for Cerinia S. Salmon, 64, of Lovington will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Cerinia was born on March 31, 1957 in Artesia, NM to Camilo and Lorezita (Montoya) Sedillo and passed away on August 23, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas. Cerinia was a CCD teacher for many years. She liked baking, art and crafts, and reading. She was a loving, caring person with a big heart for everybody and she enjoyed working with children. She was preceded in death by her parents: Camilo and Lorenzita Sedillo: one son: Herculano Augustine Salmon; one sister: Natalia Sosa; four brothers: Freddie Salsberry, Eloy Salsberry, Clovis Salsberry, and Danny Sedillo. Surviving her are two daughters: Sonya and husband Armand Singleton of Hobbs and Myra Salmon of Lovington; the father of her children: Herculano Salmon Jr.; one brother: Martin Sedillo and wife Sulema of Hobbs; two sisters: Della and husband Frank Lopez of Artesia and Elida Segura and her late husband Socorro Segura; one sister-in-law: Rickie Salsberry; one daughter-in-law: Jennifer Salmon; three grandchildren: Dakota, Jackie, and Loren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 2:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until after Rosary.
