Obituary of John William Gray
John William (Bill) Gray's zest for life will be remembered with Love and Respect after his passing. Bill Gray was born October 2, 1929, to V.O. Gray and Lena Henry in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He passed away September 26, 2021 at his home in Ruidoso, NM, following a battle every day to simply live longer. His loved ones will strive to honor his memory by living life to the fullest. Bill Gray was a teacher and a great coach. He loved working with young people. His life was spent in the arena and rodeo was his passion that he shared freely with many. His life was about hard work and perfection.
He was preceded in death by his parents: V.O. Gray and Lena Gray ; one brother Veo Gray.
He was survived by his college sweetheart and wife of 65 years, Roma Boggs Gray: two sons: Russ and Pamela Gray and Ross and Pat Gray; three grandchildren, Jacob Martin and wife Keysha, TiAda Gray, and Tierra Zapalac and husband Reid; two Great grandchildren: Jabri and Kasyn Marti; and by hundreds of people of the community and from his many travels and adventures; whose lives were changed because of his courageous spirit.
Graveside services will be held at Lovington Cemetery, Lovington, NM, Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Ty Bean officiating.
