Obituary of Sara Herrera

Funeral services for Sara Herrera, 70, Of Lovington will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Sara was born on October 9, 1951 in Las Conchas, Chihuahua, Mexico to Rosendo and Paula (Juarez) Dominguez and passed away on October 18, 2021. Sara was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church she was a Guadalupana and Teresita. She loved softball, music, singing, dancing, talking to people, and having cookouts. Sara loved her family and grandchildren very much. She was the number one fan of all these softball teams, Los Primos, O.G Astros, Why so Serious, LasToxicas, and Killer Klowns. She was preceded in death by: Rosendo and Paula (Juarez) Dominguez; her husband: Juan Herrera; one son: George Herrera; two brothers: Isael Juarez and Isaias Juarez; and one sister: Maria Garcia. She is survived by three sons: Jose Peña of Mexico, Ruben Peña and wife Arlene of Hobbs, and Juan Herrera Jr. of Lovington; one daughter: Melinda and husband Eduardo Garcia of Lovington; two brothers: Ramon Dominguez and wife Emma of Lovington, and Alejandro Dominguez and wife Blanca of Lovington; two sisters: Herminia Dominguez of Mexico, and Maria Luisa Dominguez and Daniel Torres of Lovington; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 11:00 am until after Rosary. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at Kirby—Ratliff Chapel.
