Obituary of Debrah Jean White

Funeral Services for Debrah Jean White, 71, of Lovington, NM will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Jackson Avenue Baptist Church with Bro. Dave Rowser officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Debrah was born on May 24, 1950 in Gilmer, TX to Roy Lee and Hazel (Steelman) Wheeler and passed away at Covenant Hospital- Hobbs on October 28, 2021. She was a 1968 Graduate of Hobbs High School and held an Associates degree in art from NMJC. She Married Bill White on October 20, 1973 in Seminole, TX . Debrah had an interesting variety of occupations. She was the caregiver for her parents; a beauty operator at "Mane Tamer" and Heads up Hair Design; an office worker for RunCo and a pumper for Jackie Brewer. She and her husband owned Bill White Welding and Repair and she also earned her realtor license. She had an amazing talent in art! Debrah loved being a grandmother and had great times and fun with her grandsons. They lovingly called her "Faw-faw". She knew the Bible well and knew the scriptures. Preceding her in death were her parents:Roy Lee and Hazel; her husband, Bill White and sister: Ramona Wheeler. Surviving her is one son: Will and wife Liz White of Lovington; two grandsons: Jordan and Justin White of Lovington; stepson: Jim and wife Jill White of Jal, NM; their children, Royce and Jennifer; stepdaughter: Corki and husband Jesse Daughtry of Phoenix, AZ; one brother Roy Lee and wife Shirley of Phoenix, AZ; two nephews: Terry and wife Donna Wheeler of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Ernie and wife Mandi Wheeler of San Antonio, TX. Also, special friends: Lynn and Ann Simmons, Joyce Williams, Ange Brewer, Ellie Melendez, Kathy and Jeff Busch, and Paula Esmay, all of Lovington.
