Obituary of Deborah Jayne Brewer

Deborah "Debi" Jayne Brewer April 29, 1955 - April 13, 2015 Memorial services for Deborah “Debi” Jayne Brewer, 59, of Lovington, NM will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at New Beginnings Church at 4:00 pm with David Villar officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Debi was born on April 29, 1955 in Bellmead, Texas to Milton and Anita Jayne (Kuykendall) Payne and passed away on April 13, 2015 in Lovington. Debi was a happy, outgoing and optimistic person with great faith that grew even stronger with the onset of her cancer. She had a good sense of humor and a positive attitude. She grew up in Texas and played basketball and ran track when she was in school. She attended Baylor University in Waco, TX. She married Tony Brewer and they have shared twenty eight years together. Debi was active at her church and was always a happy person, never complaining even when she didn’t feel well. She volunteered at Nor-Lea Cancer Center and was an inspiration to those around her. She was preceded in death by her father, Milton and one brother, Rusty Payne. Surviving her is her husband, Tony of the home; her Mother, Jayne Payne of Hamilton, TX; two sons: Brandon Sommerfeld of Hamilton, TX and Anthony Brewer of Lovington, NM; two daughters: Megan and husband Andrew Cunningham of Lubbock, TX and Tonya and husband Wade Hardtke of Chicago, IL; four sisters: Sandy and husband Owen Carlson of Cranfills Gap, TX, Tami and husband Greg Ashley of Lorena, TX, Dee Dee and husband Gary Meier of Lee Summit, KS, and Chelsea and husband Levi Ely of Merkel, TX; four brothers: Ricky and wife Kathy Payne of Hamilton, TX, James and wife Tracy Payne of Weatherford, TX, Tony and wife Jennifer Roberts of Blanket, TX, and Kevin and wife Kim Roberts of Merkel, TX; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
