Jami was born on December 4, 1960 in Omaha, Nebraska and passed away on December 2, 2021 in Lovington. Jami worked for the City of Lovington as Youth Center Director for 18 years. She loved working with children and teenagers. Jami enjoyed anything artistic, painting, cross stitching, drawing and was an avid reader. She enjoyed volunteering at the Roadrunner Food Distribution in Lovington and was a CASA volunteer. She was a substitute teacher for many years at Lovington Schools and was also a cheerleader sponsor. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Edward and Ardith Brooks and her mother: Sharon Brooks. She is survived by her husband: Stephen Bailey of the home; one son: Stephen Alex Bailey of Hobbs; two daughters: Shawnna Flowers and husband Carl of Lovington, and Gina Chadic and Michael of Virginia; five grandchildren: Drake and Dane Flowers, Brendyn and Kylie Chadic, and Raegan Bailey.
