Obituary of Billy Healy

Billy Wayne Healy of Jal, New Mexico passed away peacefully into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday January 16, 2022. Bill was 84 years old when he went home to his eternal resting place. Bill was born July 11, 1937 to Joe and Hazel Healy in Clarksville, Texas. Bill married the love of his life, Janet, on November 18, 1956 in Clovis, New Mexico. They had 5 children, Sharon, Buck, Sandra, Randy and Sheryl. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janet, his son, Buck, his parents, Joe and Hazel, his sisters, Virgie McGee and Daisy Lindsey and brothers, Henry and Jim Healy. Bill is survived by his son, Randy and wife, Desda of Roswell, New Mexico, his three daughters, Sharon Thompson and husband, Steve of Jal, New Mexico, Sandra Healy of Roswell, New Mexico, and Sheryl Kurtz and husband, Gary of Royse City, Texas, his brother, Richard Healy of Arlington, Texas; his grandchildren, Kristy Monroy and husband, Travis, Keith and Kreg Thompson, Joseph and Jacob Healy, Jackson and Blake Kurtz; great grandchildren, Isabel and TJ Monroy and his beloved cat, Sam. The family would like to express how grateful we are for the care and friendship the Casa staff lovingly gave to Dad. Bill was an avid sports fan. He loved all sports from football to fishing. His favorite was golfing with his boys and attending and hearing about his grandchildren's sporting events. He loved his family dearly. Spending time with each and everyone of them was a treasure he held close to his heart. Graveside services will be held Friday January, 21 at 2 pm at the Jal Cemetery under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff and officiated by Bill's brother in law, Merle Lindsey. But when I walked through Heaven's Gates, I felt so much at home, for God looked down, smiled at me, And told me, "Welcome Home!" So when tomorrow starts without me, Don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right there in your heart. Oh death, where is thy sting?
