Obituary of Mary Ann Munoz

Funeral services for Mary Ann Munoz, 70, of Lovington will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Mary Ann was born on June 13, 1951 in Loving, NM to Margarito and Antonia (Orosco) Lopez and passed away on February 15, 2022 in Albuquerque, NM. Mary Ann married Israel Munoz on November 25, 1972 in Lovington, NM. She enjoyed arts and crafts and Crocheting as her hobbies. In earlier years she crocheted preemie blankets and donated them to Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home for the preemie babies to be special wrapped. Mary Ann was employed at Western Commerce Bank in Lovington for over twenty years as a Bank Teller. She loved going to the casino, and Bingo, but especially enjoyed Family Nights of Loteria with her loved ones. Mary Ann was an amazing wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister and friend… she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents: Margarito and Antonia Lopez; one brother: Frank Lopez; two sisters: Librada Lopez and Julia Munoz; one granddaughter: Alyssa Martinez; one grandson: Joshua Lozoya; and one great-granddaughter: Nia Guevara. She is survived by husband of forty-nine years Israel Munoz of Lovington; three daughters: Terry and husband Rojelio Carrillo of Lovington, Jeanette and husband Jaime Martinez of San Antonio, TX., and JoAnna and husband Johnny Lozoya of Lovington; three brothers: Mingo Lopez, Ramon Lopez, and Ismael Lopez; three sisters: Mary Ann Rivas, Maggie Mata, and MiKayla Beltran; six grandchildren: Schuyler, Brittani, Jason, Cristian, Elijah and Ethan; and seven great-grandchildren.
